De Guild F-512E Natural is een 12-snarige gitaar met een jumbo body, twee eigenschappen die op zich al een zeer grote en positieve invloed hebben op de klank, meerbepaald op het volume en de warmte. Maar er is meer: deze gitaar is all-solid, het massieve bovenblad is van sparrenhout (Sitka spruce) en voor de zij- en achterkant werd - eveneens massief - palissander gebruikt. Samen met de Adirondack sparren bracing (zangbalken) geeft deze combinatie een ongehoorde helderheid aan de sound, met een krachtige midrange projectie die bijna aan een harp doet denken. Dit brede, volle geluid klinkt akoestisch al prachtig, maar je kan ook versterkt spelen. De ingebouwde LR Baggs voorversterker vermengt de klank van een piëzo pickup en een microfoon, de balans kan je zelf instellen.
